GOAL Cup Trapshoot. 4/17/2010 Southborough Rod & Gun Club.
The day began as many do during April in New England, wet, windy, cool, and rainy but that did nothing to dampen the excellent display of shooting at today's GOAL Cup Trap Shoot held on the beautiful grounds of Southborough Rod & Gun Club.
The clubs' own Mike Pearson was instrumental in bringing this great event to Southborough Rod & Gun Club, and his hard work was not only appreciated but noticed by all that attended.
17 shooters braved the elements and put on an excellent display of marksmanship. After the first rounds of shooting were over we had two shooters that stood above the rest, Dave Shea and LA Jones, both crushing an impressive 49 out of 50 clays, so to a shoot off we went.

In the end LA Jones prevailed, with Dave Shea finishing Second, and Russell Pearson finishing as High Junior, shooting an amazing 48 clays!

LA Jones (L) and Dave Shea. High overall and Second Place!

High Junior Russell Pearson (L) with GOAL Staffer Jon Green.
The GOAL Staff would like to extend a huge Thank You to Mike Pearson and the Southborough Rod & Gun Club for being such excellent hosts for the days events.
